Offense
-Clearly evident Dak is uncomfortable in this scheme, where his best plays were when he broke the pocket and made plays on the run.
-Really nice to see Dak use his legs more, it adds another weapon to our offense.
-Pollard as well has really struggled within their new offensive scheme. He getting almost nothing each carry and looks miscasted for what they need. This is the #1 priority to fix during the bye week. If they continue, Dowdle is actually a better fit as he is more of a physical runner.
-Get rid of the tush push as the Eagles as the only offense that excels at it.
-Thought Lamb played a tremendous game and it was nice to see Cooks get involved. Gallup is really struggling with getting separation and drops. Will he get benched?
-OL had another bad night, penalties killed them as well as Dak running for his life on every passing play. Not running the football definitely a factor. Though both Tyler’s really struggled.
-Play calling remains very vanilla and is doing more harm then helping the offense. Will MM allow Schott to take over? With all this talent, they shouldn’t be struggling this much!
-Clock management was awful on this night.
Defense
-Did an excellent job against the run all night long. Thought Bell really stood out playing downhill.
-DLaw/Osa really have had good, quiet seasons thus far. DLaw’s pressure was the main reason why the Defense stopped the Chargers on 4th and Goal.
-What is maddening to me is, the same exact play scoring TD’s all season long, defensive back is trailing, easy TD throw every time.
-Penalties are killing this defense. Better offenses will take advantage.
-Justin Herbert missed many wide open shots that could even been long TD’s.
-Thought Bland had a tough night, struggled with double moves and should of had an easy interception late.
-I don’t understand why I saw Donovan Wilson covering their best receiver in the slot.
-Defensive line really struggled sacking the QB, but they were in his face majority of the night.
-Good to see the defense close out the opponent
Special Teams
-Still don’t understand why that wasn’t a penalty for catch interference. It allowed the Chargers right back in the game.
-Gave up a big punt return early, have to replace Goodwin.
