I honestly can’t tell you what it was. Was the team feeling down after losing Diggs? Was the team feeling itself after being hyped up as one of the best teams after two weeks (SPOILER ALERT, THEY’RE NOT!)? Was it the decimated O-line? I’m not sure. I don’t even think the team knows. However, it was likely a combination of all of these things. Now, it’s week 3. It’s early. Our quirks can easily be assessed and worked out. That being said, this was one of the most embarrassing losses I have witnessed. The Cardinals are one of the worst, if not the worst, team in the NFL right now. And Dallas got punched. In the mouth. I’m talking punched so hard they got knocked out. They looked nothing like they did the first two weeks. No picks. No fumbles. An interception by Dak. The run defense looked AWFUL as per usual and Josh Dobbs looked like prime Aaron Rodgers. This team looked like it was made of CFL players and I for one, would be ashamed if I were any of these players right now.
First, this offense is just as horrid as suspected. They can barely get first downs, however, this may just be the worst red zone offense in the league. This offense averages 1.5 touchdowns a game despite visiting the red zone very often. The offensive playcalling is very reminiscent of Scott Linehan, which is not a good thing. Pollard doesn’t look nearly as explosive. We have an O-line that looks like it was built from employees at the nearest family dollar, and Dak, well. He’s Dak. As awful and lackluster as ever. Not to mention our receivers don’t even try. Cooks is doing nothing, Gallup is overpaid, and the TE’s are in a fight for who can be the worst TE in the league. That pick by Dak was just stupid. Plain stupid and reminded me of the inconsiderate and thoughtless Dak of last year.
The defense looked HORRENDOUS. How do you let one of the most pathetic QB’s in the league show you up? The rushing numbers were awful and I still don’t understand how after all these years, run defense is STILL a problem. The backfield is predictably a mess after losing Diggs. If they want to fix the backfield, they need to make a rather large trade right away, because this problem obviously won’t go away. Micah and the interior line looked awful, LB’s looked awful, no pressure on anyone the entire game. Just pathetic.
Team consistently made dumb mistakes and had game deciding penalties just as they did last year.
This team won’t even win the division. We all made fun of all pathetic the eagles look, however, they, alongside even the commanders, look way better than us and deserve the title more than we do. We were stupid to even believe we were in the conversation alongside the 49ers and Eagles. We look pathetic.
It appears nothing has changed since last year. These flaws were only hidden by teams like the Giants and Jets because they are pathetic. We are what everyone said we were. A bad team playing even worse teams.
I saw someone note that the Cardinals did what the 49ers did to us last year and I can’t agree more. This team is easy to beat and now, it’s on tape for the league to see.
