Cedee Lamb has always been good. But even really good college WRs need a little seasoning to become great in the NFL. In his 3+ seasons here, Lamb has developed into one of the best WRs in the NFL. Although he was really good right out of the gate, he’s gotten better each season.
Here are some nuggets showing his steady development.
- His Targets have gone up each year- 2020- 111, 2021- 120, 2022- 156. Shows increasing confidence from his QB.
- His total receiving yards have also gone up each season: 2020- 935, 2021- 1,102, 2022- 1,359.
- He’s increased TD numbers each year: 2020-5, 2021- 6, 2022- 9
- Had a 17 game streak between 2021 and 2022 with zero 100+ yard games, then has had six 100+ yards games in his last 10 games of 2022 season to the present.
- Yards per game: 2020- 58, 2021- 69, 2022- 80, 2023 so far averages 110 yds per game.
- Drops have decreased: 2020- 8, 2021- 8, 2022- 6, 2023 so far- 0
Lamb has also become a much better route runner. When he arrived from OU in 2020, he was used to being able to “out-athlete” his opponents on the field. As a skilled NFL WR now, Cedee Lamb has become a top ten WR in the league. And he’s only 24.
