Cowboys history of Training Camp locations

We’re back at Oxnard for another training camp. This is the 16th year the Cowboys have spent their TC days there. Which led me to finding all the locations the Cowboys have held training camp.

The Cowboys have held training camp in 16 different locations in its history, several of them more than one set of years. The first year, for some reason, they had TC in two different locations. Here are the locations for all Cowboys training camps:

  • 1960: Pacific University — Forest Grove, Oregon
  • 1960: St. John’s Military Academy — Delafield, Wisconsin
  • 1961: St. Olaf College — Northfield, Minnesota
  • 1962: Northern Michigan University — Marquette, Michigan
  • 1963-1989: California Lutheran College — Thousand Oaks, California
  • 1990-1997: St. Edward’s University — Austin, Texas
  • 1998-2001: Midwestern State University — Wichita Falls, Texas
  • 2001: River Ridge Playing Fields — Oxnard, California
  • 2002-2003: Alamodome — San Antonio, Texas
  • 2004-2006: River Ridge Playing Fields — Oxnard, California
  • 2007: Alamodome — San Antonio, Texas
  • 2008: River Ridge Playing Fields — Oxnard, California
  • 2009-2011: Alamodome — San Antonio, Texas
  • 2012-2019: River Ridge Playing Fields — Oxnard, California
  • 2020: The Star in Frisco — Frisco, Texas (because of Covid)
  • 2021-: River Ridge Playing Fields — Oxnard, California
