Well Coach McCarthy, let’s see

This will be year one of a newly installed offense.

The team’s stability has been improved.

First, an offensive line starting out, can be very capable and able to handle both the passing and running games.

The team has a whole group of special skill players with top end speed to push field limits and add quickness needs to make decisions for an opposing defense tough. This gives greater play selections an advantage.

Pass plays can increase in the 20 yard area and still be under the 2.5 second limit for completions. If defenses drop back, then the run and quick passes open up and still marches the ball slowly down the field.

With a lot of pre-snatch movement, defenses will have to show their single or zone coverage intent from play start. A few seconds prior to snap, Dak Prescott should easily be able to tell if there are ‘hidden’ coverages as well. That was Dak’s learning assignment for this off season. He really isn’t a stupid quarterback.

Head Coach McCarthy has an advantage here. He is well experienced in the two styles of offense being combined. He has successfully coached both types in his career. He is able to identify and game adjust in applications. Already he is aware of pitfalls and can slowly hinder opponents’ learning process through through the year expansion applications.

Teams then will have to prepare for more wrinkles over the year.

Then they will attempt to over power some aspect of that play…but after a single or few attempts at creating a weakness, the alternatives, which are now more extensive, will again open things up.

If the offensive line is stable, then this should be a productive as well as top shelf unit.

The passing attack is crucial for Dallas. The three receivers must remain healthy and productive…other wise teams will again have a point to attack the offense. That will be much harder a position to dominate from.

Right now, McCarthy has a full deck of cards and very well will be a top team in the NFC. Mess with the wide receivers and Dallas has to over come momentums added to games from that point forward.

That’s the game of football and what the Cowboys have to deal with. Either dominating from the start, or reacting to a game changing event just like in a game.

It then becomes forcing adjustments and returning momentums.
