Still, Stephen is gonna extend Dak after this game. (maybe not immediately, but I think he’ll do it) It gave him what he needed to see…. hope that his franchise QB will eventually be able to do it. This game was close… one big play and it’s an easy win for us. So there’s no indication in his mind (and my mind) that this game means anything in the spectrum of him not being able to do it eventually.
That being said, I’m still optimistic in this year. We have potentially 2 more games left against these guys. Each one more important than the previous one. They took some serious beating in this game and lots of their players appear injured. They might drop a few against the mighty Chiefs, the pretty strong Bills that can always resurge at any moment, and a 49ers team that might be back on track by then, and of course the rematch in Arlington. While we didn’t seem to get as many injuries.
I still think we can win this division.
