Interesting team scoring stats

Dallas is the only team to post 40+ points in a game in the first two weeks.

Dallas is the only team to pitch a shutout in a game in the first two weeks.

Cowboys and 49ers are the only teams to score 30+ points in their first two games.

Cowboys are the only team to hold both of their opponents to 10 or less points in the first two games.

And if you want to just count "offensive scoring", with the Cowboys O responsible for 27+ points a game, are still tied with SF to be the only teams to score 27+ points in the first two games.

Dallas owns 2 of the 16 total, or 1/8th, of all the teams scored 30+ points in a game (64 totals chances).

Dallas owns 2 of 8 total, or 1/4th, of all the games where the opposing team was held to 10 points or less (64 total chances).

I think it’s safe to say the defense is pretty darn good, and if they can keep it up, historically good.

And for those complaining about the offense, they are up there as being one of the Top in the NFL so far this season too.

And that is playing with players on the O-Line that no one was calling "NFL Starting Caliber" before Week 1.

Darn good start to the season if you ask me.
