I know lists are sometimes frowned upon, but here goes:
1) Best all-round roster we’ve had for a while, no glaring weaknesses.
2) Poor Conference, with only three serious contenders
3) Available CAP money $19m, $9m and $133m (2025)….with the ability to supplement 2024 with. Dak/Diggs/Martin/Dlaw restructures. CeeDee extension wont kick in until 2025.
4) 2024/2025 will require either a overhaul of virtually the whole O-Line (other than Tyler) + the Dak question. In an All-In, extend the decent (Biadasz/Steele), and prorate the bonus into 2025 and beyond.
5) Jerry’s age and philosophy of always contending showed last year it get’s only so far, the lottery ticket (no DT run defense, limited CB corp, and woeful WR room) can only get you so far.
6) Im not saying the sky’s falling in with any Dak extension, but being realistic it’s going (along with CeeDee, Diggs and Micah’s deals) to effect the TIER 2 supporting cast.
7) So many fans looked in envy at the Rams….. and before any trades, big money FA signings we have a much better all-round squad than they started with (and less competition)…..why are we looking at the future when the opportunities are staring us in the face (well at least for the next two years).
